Need a rim for aggressive enduro racing? A gravel wheelset for loaded bikepacking? Our engineers adjust carbon layup angles, material grades, and reinforcement zones to boost impact resistance and fatigue life 鈥?without making the rim feel dead.

By adjusting layup orientation and carbon modulus in specific zones, we can tune ride feel: crisper for race-day sprinting, more compliant for all-day comfort. Same mold, same dimensions - completely different ride character.

Our engineers work holistically 鈥?rim profile, spoke interface, hub geometry, and lacing pattern must work together. We build and test complete wheelsets to ensure the entire system performs as designed. Our wheel builders are part of the engineering conversation, not an afterthought.
Innovation Technology Highlight
At DRACO, our default rim finish is PaintFree 鈥?a precision molding process that eliminates the need for heavy paint layers. The result: a clean, matte carbon surface that's 30-50g lighter per rim, more impact-resistant, and shows the craftsmanship of the carbon weave. Paint is available on request, but PaintFree is our standard.
